When I write a book, it's done passionately and in my own special world of imagination. Normally, the basic structure of my books are completed with 24 hours, but not all at once. Then I let my book rest, after some time, I revisit my book to fill in the missing content.
To help you get a good understanding the results of my writing, I would like to share one of the books I have self-published. It's entitled My Heart, My Kingdom's Queen.
Tips to write a book passionately
So let's get started with the tips that I follow to when I write a book, passionately and quickly. Below are the simple tips that I apply to my writing process.
- Vision: before you start writing, create a vision for you book. Figure out how you want it to flow, the characters you want included and how you want them to interact.
- Schedule: pin down when you have your writing sessions. Nail down times that fit into your schedule and are convenient for you. Times when you can focus directly on your writing and can dedicate a specific amount of time to write. For me, I set aside my time for Sundays after morning service for about 4 – 6 hours.
- Location: define where you will achieve your writing sessions. Choose a place where you can be comfortable and not easily distracted. When I go to Starbucks, I get my coffee or tea, find my spot, setup my computer. Then I put on my headset that's connected to my phone. It is playing music that encourages me to write. Finally, I start writing.
- Deadline: give yourself realistic deadlines for writing your book. Making them S.M.A.R.T. deadlines will help you not stress out about the book. S.M.A.R.T. means:
